The Human-Technical-Environmental systems framework as used in the book Mercury Stories can be applied to a wide range of different sustainability issues. Here, we illustrate this application with the case of single-use plastics.
The case consists of a briefing memo (which follows the format introduced in the memo here), and a teaching package including a 20-minute recorded lecture and quantitive and qualitative in-class exercises.
The single-use plastics case was put together with the assistance of Ty Christoff-Tempesta (MIT).
